Replacing the Timing Belt

A broken timing belt can cause severe engine damage, such as bending valves, failure of the related lifters, and damage (denting) to the pistons: you will then need to completely disassemble the engine to carry out the necessary repairs (also cautiously replacing the gasket kit). Once the engine is repaired and reassembled, realign the timing marks and then insert the timing belt (it is advisable to also replace the tensioner, bearing, and water pump).
