How to Dismantle the Front Brake Pads of a Volkswagen Passat

Before starting, lift the front end of your Volkswagen Passat. Begin by removing the front wheel by unscrewing the fixing bolts. Next, unscrew and remove the bolts securing the brake caliper to the disc. This will free the caliper, which you should move slightly away. Then, retract the pistons inside the caliper using a flat screwdriver. At this point, remove the front brake pads from your Volkswagen Passat, and you will have successfully completed the disassembly.
