Replacing Thermostat on Volkswagen Bora - Passat 1.9 TDI

In this video tutorial, you will learn how to remove and replace the thermostat on a second generation Volkswagen Bora, as well as on the Passat, equipped with a 1.9 TDI engine. First, lift the vehicle and remove the coolant hose by taking off the clip; then open the bonnet and remove the engine cover. Next, disconnect the upper hose connected to the thermostat and use a spanner to unscrew the fixing screws of the plastic housing where the thermostat is located; once removed, replace it with the new one and reassemble everything!
