In this video tutorial, you will learn how to remove and replace the power steering pump on the fourth series Volkswagen Golf, as well as on the Jetta. First, lift the vehicle and begin unscrewing the bolts of the power steering pump using a socket spanner; then disconnect the fluid hoses from the pump as shown in the video.

At this point, replace the pump with the new one, ensuring it is correctly seated; make sure to reassemble the pulley and the V-belt, and finally pour in the new fluid for the power steering pump!
