Removing the Battery from a New Beetle

Is the battery of your New Beetle showing no signs of life? Here’s how to remove the battery and replace it with a new one. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet, disengaging the lock lever with your fingers, and secure it. Once the engine compartment is open, locate the battery with its container, unscrew the securing bolts of the battery terminals, then remove it from the engine compartment. Replace the damaged battery with one of the same size and voltage.
