How to Replace the Cabin Filter on the Volkswagen Routan

The cabin filter for your Volkswagen Routan is located under the glove compartment in front of the passenger seat. To access it, open the glove compartment, then using your hands, squeeze the sides of the compartment inward so that the guides can bypass the latch, allowing the compartment to drop completely and giving you access to the adjacent area.

In front of you, you will find a rectangular container with two tabs on the short sides; opening these will allow you to remove the cover and access the old cabin filter. It is very important to note the direction of the airflow (indicated with an air flow arrow) on the old filter just removed, so you can install the new one in the same direction.

At this point, reattach the cover and secure the glove compartment guides.

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat.
