Replacing the Fuel Pump on the Volkswagen Polo

If you need to replace the fuel pump on the vehicle, follow these instructions to assist you with the operation: First, open the tailgate and lift the carpet and load floor; beneath it is the compartment where the pump is located. First, disconnect the hose clamps of the two fuel lines and pull both hoses out. At this point, you can unscrew the cover of the pump assembly and lift it after disconnecting the electrical connector. Beneath it is the pump itself, which can be removed from its housing and replaced if necessary.
