Repair of Intercooler Hose Fitting

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

The wear of the aluminium inserts at the inlet of the intercooler hose to the throttle body prevents the securing clip from properly holding the hose in place, causing it to slip off. A repair kit is available on the market, consisting of a semicircular flange, two long screws, and two spacers: the idea is to recreate a sort of collar that securely holds the hose in its seat. Remove the original clip, replace the o-ring gasket, unscrew the two securing pins of the throttle body, and replace them with those from the kit, applying the spacers and the collar that will grip the outer edge of the aluminium insert: once the pins are tightened, the hose will be securely fixed.
