The first thing to do is to release the alternator pulley from the auxiliary belt by loosening the relative tensioner; then disconnect the socket and unscrew the two fixing pins in order to free the alternator from its seat and to be able to disconnect the eyelet of the positive cable that allows the battery to be recharged. Then proceed backwards to install the new alternator: it may be necessary to extract the guide bushings of the fixing pins to be applied to the new alternator; it is suggested to use a pin and a bushing to act as an extractor. Grind and apply grease to the bush seats before proceeding with the installation.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308
