Removing the Glove Compartment with Shutter on the Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

To replace the glove compartment located in the centre console, follow the step-by-step instructions below for removal and reinstallation. First, access the rear seats and open the cup holder drawer to unscrew the screws inside. Then, remove the drawer and unscrew the side screws that secure the upper trim behind the handbrake. Next, open the flap of the glove compartment and unscrew the fastening screws. At this point, you can remove the compartment and proceed with its replacement, then reassemble all components in reverse order.
