Replacement of Cabin Air Filter

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

The cabin air filter is located at the centre of the dashboard, directly under the windscreen, corresponding to the centre console: unscrew the three screws securing the cover in the centre of the dashboard to access the filter housing; at this point, there are another six screws securing the cap of the cabin air filter container that need to be removed; once the cap is off, you can extract the old filter, remove any dirt residue inside the container, and insert the new filter (activated carbon filters are recommended) ensuring the airflow direction is correct.
