How to Remove the Right Rear Lock of the Volkswagen Jetta

To replace the right rear lock of the Volkswagen Jetta, start by opening the right rear door, locate the plugs covering the screws, remove them, and unscrew the screws with a Torx key; once all screws are removed, pull firmly but without breaking it, to detach the inner door panel; to remove it completely, lift it slightly and disconnect the connectors and the handle cable; after removing the panel, take off the soundproofing cover if present, then move to the outside of the door, unscrew the 3 screws and extract the lock. With the old lock removed, take the new lock, insert it into its housing, screw the screws back in, and perform the reassembly procedure in reverse order to disassembly.
