Let’s see where the fuse boxes are located in the Volkswagen Passat B8: the engine compartment fuse box is found between the battery and the left side of the compartment (looking from the driver's side, so practically in front of it). The cabin fuse box is located within the dashboard thickness, adjacent to the driver's door.

To open it, you will need to pry it open with a screwdriver (or a plastic spatula, to avoid damaging the bodywork).

In this box, you will find the cigarette lighter fuse (power socket) which is number 40. This box also contains some relays.
