To have a consistently clean airflow in the cabin of the Volkswagen Golf, we need to periodically replace the appropriate filter. To do this, we sit in the front passenger seat and unscrew the two plastic screws that hold the panel under the glove compartment. Once removed, we can access the cover of the filter box, which we will open by sliding it laterally. We remove the old filter element and insert the new one, ensuring correct installation. We lock the cover and put the panel back in place, securing it with its screws. If the roads we travel on are particularly dusty, we should replace the filter earlier than the recommended replacement intervals set by the manufacturer.
