How to Replace the DSG Mechatronics on the Volkswagen Golf 7

To replace the DSG automatic transmission mechatronics on the Volkswagen Golf 7, lift the car on a ramp. Unscrew the bolts holding the oil sump of the gearbox, placing a container underneath to drain the oil. Allow the gearbox oil to drain completely. Once drained, unscrew the bolts securing the mechatronics. After removing the mechatronics, unscrew the oil filter of the gearbox, replace it, then take the new mechatronics, position it, and screw it in place. Once the new mechatronics is secured, reattach the oil sump, fill the gearbox with new oil, and perform the learning process for the new control unit compared to the old one, including the adjustment of the gears. Once this last operation with the engine control unit is completed, you can lower the car.
