To replace the battery in a Volvo V40, open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine compartment. Here, detach the plastic cover at the front of the compartment to fully open and remove the air filter box cover. Once removed, disconnect the battery power cables to slide the battery out of its slot. You can now insert the new battery, ensuring it is secured and connected to the appropriate screws.
