How to remove the rear bumper of a BMW 1 Series F20/F21

In this video we can see how to remove the rear bumper of a BMW 1 Series F20/F21 version: it would not be necessary to remove the rear lights, but the youtuber removes one to show us the procedure better. We then remove the plastic partition covering the fixing screws of the rear light. It is held by only one 10 mm bolt and an electrical connection. In the wheel arch there are five 8 mm screws that we will need to remove; two inside and three at the bottom; of course we will repeat the operation on the other side as well. Then we will pull off the bumper, pushing it outwards: if we have left the lights in position, we will need to push it upwards a bit. There are connectors of the parking sensors to disconnect, and in the center those of the license plate light, after which the bumper is completely free.
