How to Replace the Onboard Computer Relay in a BMW 3 Series

In this video, learn how to fix a BMW 3 Series that won't start or has electrical issues related to the engine control unit (DME/ECU). In this case, the problem could be the power relay, and we will show you how to locate and replace it. Always disconnect the battery before performing these operations! It is located in the fuse box under the hood, near the DME unit; however, in newer models, this fuse is found in the cabin fuse box, and the position varies depending on the year and model, so check the diagram printed on the inside of the cover, which you will remove with the vehicle turned off. It is a green/blue relay, often labeled as "DME Relay" or "K6300". In the video, it is the second from the left, but always verify with the manual; gently pull out the relay and insert the new one in its place, ensuring it is securely fastened. Reattach the cover, reconnect the battery, and check that the vehicle starts normally.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?
