How to Reset the Service Light on a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013

To reset the service light on a BMW 3 Series, sit in the driver's seat and insert the key into the ignition to turn on just the instrument cluster. At this point, press and hold the trip odometer reset button on the cluster for a few seconds until the maintenance menu appears on the display. Release the button and press it briefly to scroll through the different service items, such as engine oil, brake pads, or vehicle check. When the item you want to reset appears, press and hold the button again until the reset request appears. Keep holding it to confirm the operation. Once the reset is complete, turn off the ignition and turn it back on to verify that the light has been cleared.
