Instructions for Removing the Rear Bumper

Model: BMW Serie 7 MK 3, E38 - Years 1994-2001
Part: Rear bumper

To remove the rear bumper, first remove the taillights: then take off the trim located under the lower edge of the lights (it is secured with pressure clips) and unscrew the mounting nuts by accessing the trunk area; then unscrew the mounting nuts of the bumper just below the light housings; remove the central trim of the bumper where the parking sensors are located and unscrew the other mounting nuts; then remove the other trim at the bottom of the bumper to access additional mounting nuts and finally proceed to the screws along the edges of the rear fenders.
