BMW Serie 3 - Video tutorial

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Fuse box
Operation: Where are the fuse boxes of the BMW 320 version E46

In the E46 version of the BMW 3 series, the passenger compartment fuse box is located inside the glove box: inside this, in its upper part, there are two pliers; we will have to turn them and lower the panel. In this way we will be able to access the fuses. Behind this box is another smaller one, which holds only five large fuses. Next to it we will also find a relay box with five pieces. Again: we will find the headlight washer module and the air conditioning compressor relay. On the passenger side rear wheel arch, there is a small box with two large fuses. The heater fan relay is located at the rear of the center console. On the right side of the boot we will find the rear window defroster relay: In the engine compartment, on the other hand, we will find an electronic box in contact with the right side of the bodywork (therefore in front of the driver).

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
