How to Reset the Service Indicator on a BMW 1 Series

Model: BMW Serie 1 E81, E82, MK 1, E87 - Years 2004-2013

After changing the engine oil and the corresponding filter as per the service schedule, you need to reset the service indicator on the instrument cluster. To do this, follow the instructions provided in this description. First, sit in the driver's seat, turn on the ignition, and use the scroll wheel on the left multifunction lever to navigate through the onboard computer menu until you reach the Service option. Then, press the BC button located on the end of the multifunction lever to reset and update the dates for the next service.
