Model: BMW Serie 1 F20, F21, MK 2 - Years 2011-2019
Part: Checks and maintenance
Operation: How to perform a complete service on the BMW 1 series 118d

In this video tutorial we can see how to perform a complete service on the BMW 1 series 118d. The first thing to do is buy: a cabin filter, an air filter, a diesel filter, an oil filter and the engine oil suitable for this type of vehicle: 5 liters SAE 5W-30 (see the specifications in the use and maintenance manual). Jack the car up with a hydraulic jack and put jack stands and a tire underneath for safety. Using a 17 spanner, remove the sump plug, place a basin underneath to collect the used oil and wait for all the oil to flow inside. In the engine compartment we go to remove the oil filter, with a jack wrench with a 27 socket; once the old oil filter has been removed, fit the new one, then tighten the oil container, with a torque wrench tightening to 25Nm. Now we have to replace the diesel filter, then disassemble the filter cover which is made up of 8 screws; once the cover has been unhooked, let's remove the diesel filter with a 13 wrench and replace it with the new one together with the new gasket. Finally, put the oil pan cap back on and top up 5 litres. The oil through the funnel. Bleed the diesel filter simply by entering the car and starting the engine. Replace the air and cabin filter.

How to reset the tire pressure warning light on Dacia Sandero?

Let's see below how it is possible to reset the low tire pressure signal on the car: first of all it is necessary to check the correct tire pressure by comparing it with the pressures reported in the use and maintenance manual. After that, turn on the ignition and locate the command on the right side of the steering wheel at the top that allows you to access the on-board computer menu, then select the car symbol, after which select the "up arrow" command up to that the indication "tire pressure" appears on the display. At that point, press the "Ok" control on the steering wheel and keep it pressed to reset the signal.
