In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the heater resistor in the BMW 5 Series, a very simple task to perform, for example, if you need to replace it. First, ensure the key is not in the ignition. Then, pry off the center dashboard panel along the seam, remove the climate control console, and take out the entire internal module.

Next, remove the shift lever trim, the inner cover, and finally the entire assembly containing both the blower motor and the resistor in question.
