Follow these main instructions to remove the alternator from a Chevrolet Captiva with a 3.2L V6 engine. First, open the bonnet of your car and lift the engine using a jack from underneath; then disconnect the upper coolant hose and remove the air filter intake hose to access the alternator located below. At this point, undo the bolts securing the left engine mount using a socket spanner to remove it; unscrew the alternator bolts to take it out, disconnecting it from the belt and unplugging the power connector!
