Operation: How to replace the fuel filter on Chevrolet Silverado Mk1

The guide shows you how to replace the Chevrolet Silverado Mk1 fuel filter. This filter element is positioned on the left rear part of the driver's seat, attached to the frame body. The first operation to perform is to start the engine after identifying the fuel pump control relay; disconnect the relay and wait for the engine to stop. At this point it is possible to disassemble the old element. Remove the retaining clamp and the two 16 mm bolts for fixing the ducts. Pay attention to the spill of fuel during this operation. Check the correct positioning of the two O-rings on the pipes and install the new filter element; pay attention to the correct installation direction of the piece. Refit the fuel pump relay and start the engine to fill the filter. Check for leaks.
