How to Replace the Fuel Filter on a Chevrolet Silverado Mk1

This guide shows how to replace the fuel filter on a Chevrolet Silverado Mk1. This filter is located on the left rear side of the driver's seat, attached to the frame. The first step is to start the engine after locating the fuel pump relay; remove the relay and wait for the engine to turn off. At this point, you can remove the old filter. Remove the retaining clamp and the two 16mm bolts securing the lines. Be careful of fuel spillage during this operation. Check the proper placement of the two O-rings on the lines and install the new filter; ensure the correct orientation of the piece. Reinstall the fuel pump relay and start the engine to fill the filter. Check for any leaks.
