Let's see how to proceed to replace the front brake pads of the Citroen C4. Loosen the nuts of the front wheel, lift the car and place a safety jack underneath, finish unscrewing the bolts and remove the wheel. Unscrew the two bolts that lock the brake caliper, slide it off and place it aside. Use a screwdriver to remove the old brake pads from the disc and slide them out of their seats along with the sliding plates. Insert the new sliding plates after applying a thin layer of copper grease on the sliding tracks, also insert the new brake pads. Open the cap of the brake fluid reservoir, located in the engine compartment, use a clamp to push the caliper piston back inside and put the caliper back into its housing. Tighten the two fastening nuts and remount the wheel. Repeat the same steps with the other wheel and finally close the cap of the brake fluid reservoir.
