Replacing the Brake Pads on a Citroen C4

Follow these steps to replace the front brake pads on a Citroen C4. Loosen the nuts on the front wheel, lift the car, and place a safety stand underneath. Finish removing the bolts and take off the wheel. Unscrew the two bolts that secure the brake caliper, then slide it off and set it aside. Use a screwdriver to pry the old pads away from the disc and remove them along with the sliding shims. Insert the new shims after applying a thin layer of copper grease to the sliding surfaces, then insert the new pads. Open the cap of the brake fluid reservoir located in the engine bay. Using a clamp, retract the caliper piston back into its housing and refit the caliper. Tighten the two securing bolts and remount the wheel. Repeat the same steps for the other wheel, and finally, close the cap of the brake fluid reservoir.
