Fiat 500 - Video tutorial
Model: Fiat 500
Epoca
- Years 1957-1975 To remove the engine from the vintage Fiat 500, let's start by disconnecting the dynamo cables by unscrewing an 8mm nut and a 10mm nut from the terminals; removed the dynamo cables, we move on to remove the petrol pipe by unscrewing the clamp screw and remove the pipe from the petrol pump; once the petrol tube has been removed, we can remove the tube and the air filter cover by removing the 3 clips (2 on the tube and 1 on the air filter cover); removed the tube and the cover of the air filter we move on to remove the crankcase by unscrewing the star screws (from under the car); once the under-engine casing has been removed, remove the air conveyor tube (rubber) simply by pulling it; once the tube has been removed, we remove the throttle rod by loosening the nut with a wrench and holding the cable firmly with pliers, we remove it from the housing (we perform the same procedure with the starter cable); removed the cables, remove the second rubber tube of the passenger compartment by simply pulling it too; removed the second tube, disconnect the coil by unscrewing the pole nuts; once the coil has been removed, we can remove the starter motor by unscrewing the 3 13mm nuts and disconnect the cables by unscrewing the nuts; removed the starter motor, we move on to remove the 4 13mm bolts (on the gearbox bell) that hold the engine (2 on one side and 2 on the other); after removing the bolts and holding the engine raised with a winch / workshop crane, we unscrew the 4 10mm bolts of the rear engine cross member, lastly we remove the cushioned engine support by unscrewing the 2 nuts, then remove the cross member and the engine support. Finally, we can remove the engine by lowering the winch / workshop crane or by raising the car to remove the engine from the body.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
