How to Clean an EGR Valve on a Ford Mondeo

Watch this video to learn how to clean the EGR valve on a Ford Mondeo. Lift the bonnet and secure it, then use a screwdriver to unscrew the locking pins of the ventilation pipe and remove the part from the engine bay. Start by removing the fastening bolts of the EGR valve as shown in the video. Once the part is detached from its seat, unscrew the screws on it with a screwdriver. Begin cleaning the valve using a suitable mechanical parts cleaner, and use a brush to assist with the process. Once the part is restored, reassemble the components together. Finally, refit the EGR valve in the engine bay after cleaning it of any dirt and deposits. Before fitting the ventilation kit in the engine bay, spray the cleaning fluid from the can into the ventilation tube (repeat this several times). Enhance the cleaning of the valve using a suitable product to flow into the tank. Finally, refit the ventilation pipe in the engine bay after cleaning it of any dirt and deposits.
