Resetting the service light on a 2006 Ford S Max vehicle is a simple and quick procedure that can be done independently. The service light not only indicates the need for the vehicle to have a service, but also to replace just the engine oil and oil filter. To reset the light, first turn on the vehicle's instrument panel and simultaneously press the brake and accelerator pedals for 15 seconds. Wait for the service light to turn off before restarting the vehicle. If the light does not turn off, press the ok button on the steering wheel.
