How to Change the Alternator on a Ford Focus C-Max

Model: Ford C Max MK 1 - Years 2003-2010

To change the alternator on a Ford Focus C-Max, pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the bonnet. Locate the battery and disconnect the terminals. Raise the car on a column lift and remove the bolts securing the engine cover using a socket spanner. Unscrew all the securing bolts of the alternator. Once disassembled, remove the alternator from the engine bay. Now take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, screw in the securing bolts, and then tighten the side bolts of the alternator. Check the correct voltage with a multimeter by connecting it to the battery.
