How to Remove the Alternator on a Ford C-Max

To remove the faulty alternator on a Ford C-Max, lift the bonnet and secure it. Locate the battery and disconnect the terminals using the appropriate spanner. Raise the car on a column lift, loosen the alternator belt, and unscrew the bolts with a socket spanner (engine bay), being careful not to damage the wiring harness.

Unscrew all the securing bolts of the alternator. Once the removal is complete, extract the alternator from the engine bay. Take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, screw in the securing bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator.

Reconnect the alternator belt.
