Timing Belt Replacement

Replacing the timing belt is a delicate operation, as an error in aligning the timing marks could severely damage the engine. With that said, to work comfortably, first loosen the tensioner (which will need to be removed) of the auxiliary belt and remove it. Then remove the right front wheel and the wheel arch liner to access the pulleys and remove the crankshaft pulley. Remove the plastic covers of the timing belt, align the timing marks, and proceed with the removal by loosening the relevant tensioner. In addition to the belt, it is advisable to replace the water pump and the tensioner: drain the fluid and replace the pump, then install the new timing belt and also the auxiliary belt.
