On the instrument cluster of the Ford Ranger, an orange light shaped like a spanner along with an oil lamp warns us of the need to perform an engine oil change. Once you have completed the replacement, you must reset the control system.

Sit in the driver's seat, press and hold the brake and accelerator pedals, turn the key to the ignition position, and after a few seconds, the orange light will start flashing and then turn off. Switch off the instrument cluster, and upon the next restart, you can check for the absence of the light, confirming the reset.
