After performing the car service or engine oil change on the 2016 Ford Transit, it is necessary to complete the procedure by resetting the warning light. Turn off the instrument panel and then press the accelerator and brake pedals at the same time. Turn on the instrument panel after three seconds and the message "Oil warning light ready to reset" will appear on the display, release the pedals and the oil warning light will be reset. If the warning light comes back on after resetting, it may be necessary to visit a workshop for a computerized diagnosis. The reasons for the failure to reset may include issues with the engine control unit, a punctured oil pan, or a malfunctioning tank sensor.
