Here’s how to replace the key lock for the bonnet of the Ford C-Max. With the bonnet open, remove the grille above the radiator by unscrewing the screws that secure it. Take out the old lock with the flexible cable, unscrew the two screws that hold the latch, and remove it after disconnecting the connector.

Insert the flexible cable attachment of the new lock into the latch, test its operation, and refit it in position by securing it with its screws and reconnecting the connector.

Insert the lock into its housing and replace the grille.
