To reset the maintenance light on a Hyundai Santa Fe, follow this procedure: when the service light comes on, the first thing to do is replace the engine oil and oil filter. After the DIY service, get in the vehicle and turn on the ignition; press the button shaped like an open book on the steering wheel multiple times to scroll through the menu until the spanner icon with 'service' appears; now hold down the button with the arrow to perform the reset.

Turn off and then turn on the ignition again to check that the reset has been completed correctly.
