How to Replace the Knock Sensor on a Hyundai Elantra

In this guide, we will see how to replace the knock sensor on a Hyundai Elantra. Pull the engine bay release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the bonnet, securing it. Remove the plastic engine cover, disconnect the battery and alternator connectors, and the exhaust manifold. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the securing bolt of the knock sensor and disconnect the power connector. Once the sensor is removed from its housing, compare it with the new part. Install the sensor using the appropriate tool, reconnect the power connector, and finally, refit the soundproof engine cover.
