How to remove and replace the timing belt on a Land Rover Freelander: Lift the car on a column lift and remove the right front wheel. Then, use a screwdriver to remove the right wheel arch liner (remove the plastic rivets or screws). Use a fixed spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the tensioner pulley securing bolt, and remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket spanner. Finally, reinstall the wheel arch liner and the wheel with the tyre on the vehicle.
