To disable the immobiliser on the Land Rover Freelander, open the bonnet to access the control unit located in the engine compartment: this unit must be freed from its mounting screws and disconnected from the relevant cables and connectors. At this point, you can connect the control unit to a computer to identify and reset any stored errors.

Once the reset is complete, reinstall the control unit and check that the immobiliser has been completely disabled.
