How to Replace the Engine Oil Filter on a Mini Countryman

Model: Mini Mini F55, F54, F57, F56 - Years 2014-2023
Part: Oil filter

How do you replace the engine oil filter on a Mini Countryman? Follow this guide. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, lift the front bonnet and secure it. Using a socket spanner, unscrew the securing bolt on the coolant reservoir (this operation is necessary to access the filter), moving it without disconnecting the hoses. Unscrew the oil filter cap with a suitable socket spanner, and remove the filter from the vehicle body. After removing the filter, unscrew the drain bolt located under the oil sump, allowing the fluid to drain into a container (then re-screw the bolt). Finally, insert the new filter and tighten the container, topping up the engine with new fluid.
