Replacing the oil filter and engine oil on the Opel Astra model H is a simple and quick operation to perform independently. First, open the bonnet and remove the oil filter cap located inside the bonnet.

Remove the filter and insert a new one; close the cap and proceed to replace the engine oil. Open the oil reservoir and then lift the vehicle and open the sump bolt; let the oil drain into a container and then close the sump bolt. Fill the oil reservoir with new engine oil and close the bonnet.
