How to change the oil in the Peugeot 308 MK1

In this video, we will see how to change the oil in the Peugeot 308 MK1: on this car, the oil filter is changed from the top, by removing the air filter and the intake group: disconnect the vacuum sensor, remove the air tubes from the filter group, then remove the filter itself using a 10 mm socket; unscrew the air filter cover with a 27 mm socket and remove the old air filter. Now prepare for draining, placing the container for used oil under the oil pan, and using an 8 mm hex key, find the drain plug and unscrew it: let the oil drain completely, then clean the area around the plug well. Install a new plug and a new gasket and tighten it to 30 Nm. Replace the oil filter, remove the gasket and when installing the new filter, lubricate the new gasket with clean oil. Tighten the oil filter cap to 25 Nm. Now reassemble the air filter group and the tubes in the reverse order of disassembly, making sure all connections are tight to avoid air leaks. Add 4.25 liters of new oil, according to the manufacturer's specifications; start the engine, let it run for a few minutes until the oil light goes out, then check the oil level dipstick and top up if necessary.
