Peugeot 206 - Video tutorial
Model: Peugeot 206
MK 1
- Years 1998-2012 To replace the serpentine belt, open the car hood. Disconnect the battery by unscrewing the negative terminal clamp. Lift the front of the car with two jack stands and a jack. Do not rely on your car jack. Unscrew the wheel nuts and then lift the vehicle. Remove the wheel and place it under the car. Remove the right front wheel arch to access the serpentine belt. Unscrew the lower screw and remove the supporting clips of the wheel arch. This way you will have a clear view of the serpentine belt, which powers the alternator that charges the battery, but also operates the power steering, air conditioning compressor, and water pump. Lift the tensioner with a socket wrench and remove the belt. You also need to replace the tensioner, so unscrew the upper fixing bolt and the lower screw. Now you can install the new tensioner in its housing. Position the screw and bolt and tighten them. Tension the belt, take the new serpentine belt and install it, paying attention to the correct direction, route the belt between the various components, and tension the belt until it is properly tight. You can reattach the wheel arch, first the tabs, then the screw. Reinstall the wheel and lower the car. Job completed.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHow to open the Fiat Panda petrol tank flapIn this video we proceed to the explanation, also verbal, of the technical operation of the opening and closing of the petrol tank cap. With the ignition on, the fuel cap, or rather the fuel filler flap, is open and therefore accessible. When trying to turn off the aforementioned ignition and then lock the car with the key, it is assumed that the petrol door, as well as the doors of the car, are closed, but this is not the case, in fact the latter in practice always remains open. Ultimately, you can access the fuel tank whether the car is closed or open. by ScegliAuto More videos
