Replacing Rear Brake Discs and Pads

Model: Porsche 911 996 - Years 1997-2005

To perform this maintenance, lift the vehicle on the lift and remove the rear wheel; remove the safety clip from the spring retaining pin located behind the pads and pull out the pin; take out the wear sensor from the pads and then the pads themselves; proceed to remove the caliper along with its bracket, then unscrew the bolts securing the disc to the hub using a impact screwdriver; clean the disc seat on the hub, apply grease, and install the new disc after cleaning it from protective oil; reassemble the caliper, insert the new pads, the sensor, the spring, and the pin, remembering to replace the safety clip.
