How to change the air filter of the Renault Scenic III 1.9 dCi

In this video we will see how to change the air filter of a Renault Scenic III 1.9 dCi: we open the hood and lock the windshield wipers in maintenance position: otherwise we would not be able to reach the air filter, which is located in the upper right corner of the engine compartment, under the windshield frame, which will need to be removed. We then move the brake fluid reservoir, unscrewing the two screws that support it to the body; we will also need to move the electrical wire that runs behind the reservoir; we unscrew the windshield frame, and then the flange of the air filter. We do not need to remove them, as they are designed to stay in place. However, we remove the flange to which the filter box is attached. We clean the seat well from dust and impurities and place the new filter in its place in the box, which we will put back in its clean seat. We screw back the two screws, reassemble the windshield frame, put back the electrical wire and screw back the brake fluid reservoir, reassemble the plastic cover, then the gasket, and we can return the windshield wipers to their position.
