How to Disable the ESP on a Renault Megane IV

This procedure to disable the ESP on Renault Megane IV models without a dedicated button is intended for professional use and is an alternative to disconnecting the ABS/ESP unit connector, which is not recommended as it can cause errors and require a reset. After the test, turning off and restarting the engine will automatically restore normal ESP operation. For manual versions, start the engine, engage second gear, and hold the clutch pedal. Keep the accelerator pedal pressed for exactly 3 minutes, after which the ESP will automatically disable (warning light on). For vehicles with automatic transmission, start the engine, put the gearbox in "D", and keep the accelerator pedal in "kick down" past the resistance point for three minutes. As with the manual gearbox, after 3 minutes the ESP system will disable, and the warning light will appear on the dashboard.
