How to replace the headlight bulb of a Subaru Outback?

To replace the headlight bulb of a Subaru Outback, start by turning off the engine and making sure the headlights are off to avoid shocks or overheating. Open the hood using the release lever located inside the cabin and secure it in position with the support rod. Locate the back of the headlight inside the engine compartment. You may need to remove a rubber or plastic protective cover to access the bulb holder. Once you have uncovered the bulb holder, locate the electrical connector and disconnect it by gently pulling it. Rotate the bulb holder counterclockwise to release it from the headlight. Remove the old bulb and replace it with a new one of the same type and specification. Make sure not to touch the glass of the new bulb directly to prevent grease or dirt residues from reducing its lifespan. Insert the new bulb into the bulb holder, rotating it clockwise to securely fasten it. Reconnect the electrical connector and replace the protective cover, if present. Close the hood and turn on the headlights to verify that the new bulb is working correctly. If you encounter any issues, refer to the vehicle manual or seek assistance from a professional.
