Replacing Front Shock Absorbers

Model: Toyota Aygo MK 1, Ab10 - Years 2005-2014

To perform this maintenance, lift the vehicle on the ramp and start by removing the front wheel and freeing the cable pass-throughs attached to the shock absorber brackets; then disconnect the tie rod end from the hub support and the anti-roll bar from the suspension wishbone to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts and free it from the hub support itself; lower the vehicle to access the engine bay and proceed to remove the wiper arms, the plastic grille under the windscreen, and the wiper motor mechanism to access the strut tops and complete the removal of the shock absorbers; at this point, apply clamps to compress the spring and remove the support from the piston rod, then insert the spring, dust cover, and support onto the new shock absorber; then reverse the process for installation back onto the vehicle.
