In this video, we are given excellent advice, namely to clean our MAF sensor every time we replace the air filter. In fact, a dirty sensor, in addition to causing us to consume more fuel than necessary, will also cause the engine light to come on. The sensor is located, in most cars, between the air filter box and the throttle body, so downstream of the throttle body. In the car in the video, it is easily accessible: we remove the electrical connector and the mounting screws. Once removed, we can see that there are two sensors, one external and one internal, which are small wires that should not be touched with fingers, but with a specific cleaner for this purpose; any other type could leave residues that could affect the performance of the car. After spraying the cleaner abundantly, we let it dry perfectly in the air, and then we can put it back in its place.
